We bring traditional yoga together with compassion and love, to help individuals live well with less pain.

PAIN CARE AWARE™ Foundations Course

Yoga teachers, yoga therapists and health professionals all benefit from learning about pain science – the lived experience of pain – and what to do when an individual experiences pain during asana or any movement.

The Pain Care Aware program is grounded in traditional yoga and practice. It provides you with knowledge and skills to update your understanding, teaching approach and language related to pain safety and movement.

Based on current pain science information, Pain Care Aware will inform you as a compassionate pain care movement educator, and provide greater understanding of how cueing and guiding students in yoga can influence pain.

Testimonials

Thank you Swami Lisa & Neil!
"I think about a studio becoming Pain Care Aware as something that could be as prevalent as the Trauma Informed movement. We would like to see studios and yoga teachers becoming Pain Care Aware, just as they have become trauma-informed. It is a mindset, not a technique, so it fits into any style of yoga."

Thank you Swami Lisa & Neil!
I would definitely recommend the Pain Care Aware Yoga Therapeutics course to any physio working with clients who have pain – which is close to 100% of my clients. I am not a yoga teacher, and this course has changed my approach after 25 years in private orthopaedic practice – I have taken a lot of courses.
